One of the coolest and the best ways to customize your vehicle is the lighting. Whatever type of lighting you look for (improving the appearance of your vehicle or safety reasons) there are too many options to choose from. Let’s take a look at some of the ways of interior and exterior lighting for vehicles we do at Santa Clarita Auto Sound:

Headlights and taillights:

If bulbs dim or burn out, you definitely need to replace them. Headlights and taillights are something you don’t have choice about: you have to have them. The standard colors for headlights and taillights that cars come with are white, orange and red. But you still can play with these lights, with changing the styles, colors, etc…

There are three basic types of headlights and taillights, which are Halogen, Xenon and LED lights. Each of them has advantages and disadvantages and it depends on drivers needs which one they will choose.

Fog lights:

Many drivers don’t know about the importance of fog lights. Most of them think that they must use them when there is fog outside. Whenever there is fog, dazzling lights outside, heavy rain and spray, or snow falling, your headlights aren’t able to brighten your way. In these cases your regular headlights can reflect the light and be blinding to you. That’s the reason you need fog lights. They point directly at the road in front of the car so they don’t reflect the glare back.

So correctly setting up fog lights can help you to be safe in many-many cases.

Truck and Jeep Lighting:

Light bars are a must if you take your truck or jeep off road or going down dark dessert roads. Most light bars are made to use only for off road purposes. But we have light bars that you can use for safe day to day driving and off road. Come check out all the lighting we have available on our display and pick the ones you like the best.

Dashboard lights:

If the dashboard lights in your vehicle stopped working that can be a real safety danger. Dashboard lights going out can make it harder, sometimes impossible to see your speed and other lights that warn of trouble and you should watch out for them. Such warning lights can be brake fluid warning light, Oil warning light, engine warning light, Coolant warning light, Battery charge warning light, Tire pressure monitor warning light, etc…

So if your dashboard lights don’t work you definitely need to make some time and take care of that.

Reading lights:

All the cars come with this feature from the manufacturer. But almost all of them have very dim lights, and it’s a real challenge to read something under those lights. So it will be a good idea to change them with some better ones. There’re various types of light for this purpose to make it brighter inside of your car when you need that.

Trunk lighting:

It’s not that you can’t operate your vehicle without these lights, but this big feature makes your life a little bit easier. You will not take a long time to find something in your truck, or look for a flashlight, or turn you phones flashlight on, if you install good interior lights in your trunk.

In addition to all this you can also add a lot of other kinds of lights, such as projector lights, under glow lights, wheel lights, door handle lights, under the door lights, etc…

Before you add or change lights on your vehicle, be sure that you follow the rules for lighting in your area.

If you have any difficulties about what to choose, our professionals will help you to make the best choice for your vehicle.
