A popular product Tehakervian and his staff offer is custom bluetooth systems, which not only enhances convenience, but also the safety of drivers and their passengers.Despite the ban on handheld cell phone use while driving, Tehakervian said he still sees people talking on their phones while driving, but trying to hide it to avoid getting a ticket.
“They don’t drive right and they get close calls, so I would definitely recommend a bluetooth,” he said. “The ticket is definitely not worth it. You’re going to spend maybe a couple hundred dollars on a bluetooth system, and then your ticket is going to be way up there.”
While almost any vehicle can have a bluetooth system installed, a growing trend among Santa Clarita residents is the integration of smart phones into the stereo system.
“Nowadays, the new hot thing is (Apple) CarPlay and Android Auto, so the android and the iPhone systems,” Tehakervian said. “You can actually hook it up to the stereos and you can run pretty much everything off your phone onto the stereos. That’s the big deal right now; it’s really cool.”
